We spent today the same way we have for a few years now and had a great time! We started out at a local festival where we had a picnic, the kids made crafts, played games, played on the playground, and ate yummy cupcakes! This year they participated in a water balloon toss for the first time. They loved it but were sad because they each dropped their balloons on the first toss!

In the evening we went to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks. While we were waiting we played a LONG game of UNO, ran around, ate our 'once a year' treats, read, and the kiddos made a few new friends. It is such a blessing to spend quality time as a family!

I'm just realizing that Braden must have been playing inside when most of these were taken! I'll have to get some of me and my boy soon:) I'm not usually in the pics because I'm always the one taking them. A couple weeks ago Cailey wanted to see some pictures of us together from each year and I couldn't really find any...so I promised her that we would have to get some 'mommy pics'.

It was pretty hot when we went to see Nonny and Poppy so one day we pulled out the sprinkler for the kids to play in. For some reason they were doing more running FROM it that running through it, so Nonny decided to spray them with it...which they loved:). Nonny also sprayed me...while I was fully dressed...and I got her back:). The kids thought it was so funny to see my mom and I 'fighting' over the sprinkler!

4th of July at the Y

Sunday night we went to a 4th of July celebration at the Y with friends. The weather was perfect...not too hot, and not stormy so we were able to see some great fireworks! The kids had a great time playing on the playground and the bouncy equipment. I can't believe it's already July...this summer is FLYING by! This event will definitely continue to be a tradition in our family:).
