Christmas with Granny

giving Aunt Michelle some love:)

Family time

We celebrated Christmas with Granny yesterday at Aunt Michelle's new house. The kids were excited to go but a little sad when Cousin Courtney wasn't there. We ate supper together, the kids ran around, and then opened up presents. Scott used to be a state trooper and let the kids try on his hat..which was the highlight of their night!

Cailey asked Scott a TON
of questions about jail!

Dinner with friends

We have had a busy, fun filled December! With Disney at the beginning of the month, parties, field trips, shopping, play dates, concerts, dinners, and family time. It seems like every year it flies by faster and faster and this year was no different. The kids are involved in so many groups and activities and we celebrated with each one.

The Nutcracker

we had on SEVERAL layers
of pants and shirts because it
was 20 out!

When I was growing up my dad would take me to see The Nutcracker every year. I wanted to continue the tradition and took Cailey for the first time this year! We went with the Girl Scouts on a VERY cold morning and just LOVED it! Cailey's favorite part was when the little gingerbread men came out of the lady's big dress.

2003 (she didn't really watch
it but loved running around while
it was on)

My kids have never been big TV watchers (especially the girls) but once a year we do let them watch Charlie Brown Christmas. Other than the 'S' word thrown in there way too many times it has a great message and the kids LOVE it! Popcorn, Hot Chocolate, and Charlie Brown have become a Christmas tradition in our house.
