Christmas Crafts

The kids did lots of Christmas crafts this December! Cailey made some fuze bead ornaments (very creative), braden did some salt dough ones (star wars, gingerbread man, and tarheel for daddy:), ephram made a Christmas tree (which the older ones did in years past), and our family one this year was the blue ball with everyone's thumb prints to make a reindeer. For Christmas at Awana Cailey got a plaster set to make cupcake magnets and we did that together. I'm not usually good at those kind of things and was rather proud that we figured it out...and that it worked! After she painted them she chose to give them away as Christmas gifts:).

Kinsey painted a super cute nativity (her idea), ephram did nativity stickers, they were creative with trees, and handprint trees...thumbprint lights...glitter candy canes...and more!

Braden loves crafts and painted me lots of trees to hang up:).

Durham Science Museum..day 3

The next place we visited while Brian was home was the Durham Science Museum...a family fav. We went in the Christmas train room which the kiddos all loved and were amazed that everything was made from nature.



Next we had building block competitions with each other for the highest, strongest, and most creative design:). They did some exploring in the space area, walked around to look at the snakes, owls, etc. and then went upstairs for Science fun.





We saw the animals and Mr. Donkey was super excited to have visitors! He was putting on quite the show:).

Cailey cracks me up these days...she LOVES getting her picture taken (if it is HER idea) and wants to pose in different directions...They were hopeful a butterfly would land on them but it didn't happen that day.


exploring outside..dinosaur walk, stopping at all the stations, boats, playground, animals...we LOVED our fun day!

when we got back to the van we found out it was 2:45 (WAY past Ephram's nap time) and couldn't believe we spent so much time there!
