after school

The kids have a new favorite thing to do after school! As soon as we're done with lunch we all head out and take Macy on a walk. The kids each take turns holding the leash now that Macy doesn't pull so hard:). She's SUCH a sweet dog and we love playing with her and taking her on walks...she is definitely the right dog for our family! (Now if we can just remember to keep the toys, tissues, towels, and socks off the floor we'll be great:)

Aunt Laura and the kids came to see us last week and I kept it a secret from Cailey, Braden, and Kinsey. Somehow Cailey thought they were coming so she wasn't completely shocked, but the others sure were and she was still super excited! Cailey and Braden were SO happy to spend time with Rebecca again. Kinsey had a great time playing with the tots too:)!

The weather here is so crazy that we went from snow to mid 80's and blooms in less than a week! It's back to being cold again but should warm up by the end of the week...crazy March weather!

Kinsey's first dentist visit

i ended up having to sit with her, and after a lot of
screaming, crying, kicking, and fighting they were
finally able to clean her teeth!

Kinsey was super excited to go to the dentist just like Cailey and Braden! She watched Cailey get her teeth cleaned and I thought she'd be fine...NOT so much! It took a LONG time but they were finally able to at least brush them. Next time they are hoping to floss and take x-rays.

All three of the kids LOVED marble painting (which we've done before) and spent two hours making pictures and changing paint colors:) We replaced our snowman door art with their marble paintings!

Mm activities: marble painting, macaroni art, playing musical instruments, making masks, doing mouse prints (with fingerprints), mitten matching (which was perfect because of the snow!), coloring with markers, sorting money (we just did pennies and quarters because they look so different), marching, mopping, monkeying around:), exploring with magnets, fun with mirrors, making m's in mud, looking at pictures of moutains, and making milkshakes.

Mm foods: macaroni, milk, M & M's, mushrooms, melon, mustard, mayonnaise, marshmallows, meatballs, macadamia nuts, mahi mahi*, mango, mandarin oranges, manicotti, maraschino cherries, marinara sauce, meat loaf, melba toast, mints, mousse, minestrone, molasses, mozzerella, muffins, and mulberries.

The kids been having a blast learning about bones, muscles, the brain, etc. the past few weeks! The day they were learning about the hand I got creative because I wanted them to know what a blessing it is to have hands and fingers...and know how hard things would be without them. They loved trying to pick up different things with their feet and mouths, and brainstorming about things that would be harder without hands or fingers.

After church on Sunday we went to Pullen park together as a family to soak up the beautiful sunshine! It's been SO warm that the kids wanted to wear shorts...this not even a week after it snowed (only in NC). The kids and I have spent every sunny day at a different park and sometimes we even went to two! We've been finding new ones to go to and have been exploring on several greenways. It's really crazy to think that I no longer need to bring a stroller and that my 'baby' goes on the 'big girl swing' now! I've loved every second I've spent at the park with the kids playing tag, going down the slides with them, swinging with them, and walking with them. Sunday was an extra special time because Brian got to join us too!
