piano lessons

This year Cailey has been taking lessons from Ms. Jewel (who was her summer choir teacher) in hopes that she'll learn to love it again. So far it's going much better and she's enjoying the practicing a lot more...as long as she's happy we'll continue. My dad (who is a very talented pianist) believes Cailey has great talent...and we KNOW she has an amazing ear but she stopped 'loving' it and wanted to quit over the summer. We debated letting her and then decided to try one more thing...a new teacher. Hopefully she'll continuing to love it as it will only help with her singing.

Braden is taking them with Ms. Cynthia in our home for now and doing great. He just started taking lessons this year...as 7 is the recommended age for children to begin so their hands are strong and big enough. He's progressing great and LOVES to practice...cracks me up! How different their personalities are! I was JUST like Cailey and didn't love practice (because I thought my songs were b-o-r-i-n-g) but Braden loves it all. They both take lessons early...at 8am.
