Aunt Laura and Auntie Anne!

We went to Laura's for our monthly visit last week and stayed for a sleepover because the next day I was taking the 'big girls' to the Southern Christmas Show. The weather was beautiful so the kiddos spent most of the day playing outside...and having picnics.

The kiddos got to go to AWANAS with them and Laura and I got a date with Ephram! It was so strange because we rarely have a chance to go out without all the kiddos. We had a great time but then Ephram started acting sick so I was a little worried about the evening but it turned out fine and he ended up falling asleep while we hung out.

I was really worried about how Ephram would do sleeping there since the last two times we tried it were AWFUL but this time we had him in a room with just Braden and he slept all night long with NO crying! I was especially concerned because he had been teething and waking up crying (but still asleep) all week. He surprised us and did AWESOME! We never heard a peep from him...he was SO happy to have his 'bray bray' with him:).

I went to the Southern Christmas Show with mom every year (since I was a baby) and have great memories of it. We went the first year we moved back to NC but haven't had a great opportunity since then. This year I started the tradition back up again with Cailey and brought Rebecca with us too. We were SO excited to be able to go with Anne too!

ready to go with the girls! anne had the day off from work so we were able to spend the whole day together! a rare treat that we can't wait to do again next year!

everyone thought we were sisters
and the girls were our daughters...
everyone has always asked anne and i
if we were sisters:)

goofing off together

cailey was HILARIOUS with this soda...
a rare treat. she was acting like she was in
a dr. pepper commercial (which she apparently
saw during a Carolina game with Daddy). everyone
around us was cracking up at her.

meet the gourd lady. mom used to buy gifts from her
every year and i remember looking forward to seeing her.
i could NOT believe that she was still there at 96 years old
but was thrilled to get a pic for mom.

my kiddos have unusual names that are never
on the typical cups, pens, ornaments, etc. that are
sold at craft shows. cailey was bummed at each place we
went b/c she could never find her name yet was
AMAZED that rebecca's name was on everything. i told her that
if she saw something with her name on it I'd buy it. i totally expected there
to be nothing. oops. someone actually had her name with her spelling
available on an ornament so i lived up to my word and got it for her.
when we left she said, "wait...now my name isn't special anymore." oh cailey...

they loved looking at the trees, wreaths, dollhouses and trains that won prizes for being the best

the girls were literally giddy all.day.long. they had a BLAST (except for sore feet and legs) and walked either arm in arm, hand in hand, or with their arms around each other all around the Southern Christmas Show. i'm so thankful for their sweet sisterly friendship. while they were playing at the house they pretended to be college roommates and it was just the sweetest thing! can't wait to see where their friendship goes:)

Laura was SO sweet to watch the younger
kiddos ALL day! Just as I left her Ephram had emptied the dog's
water bowl all over himself:(

they did play doh (SO brave)

read lots of books, played outside, jumped on the trampoline, watched a movie, and helped cook dinner. thanks again, Laura!!

When we were driving home Cailey said, "I'm so glad we got to see Aunt Laura AND Auntie Anne on the same day!" I am SO very thankful for these two sweet friends who were my maid of honor and matron of honor. Love yall, ladies!
