We took the kids on a field trip to watch how the food is prepared, stored, and cooked at Chick fil A. The kiddos were super excited to be able to tour the back and learn all about it AND watch fresh biscuits being made from scratch. They started at the hashbrowns and learned that it takes 2 minutes for those to cook. Next they learned about all the equipment in the back and got to walk in the giant freezer, check out the fryers, huge fridges and finally the 'biggest ice maker' they've ever seen.
They were taught about how many sandwiches, etc. are served daily as well as the process they use to coat the chicken. The kiddos really had a fun time!

watching the food cook and seeing where they coat the fresh chicken in the 'secret' mixtures
as an added bonus they were able to see the cow. ephram was
LESS than thrilled about it and it just like his sister was with costumed
characters. I was trying to point out body parts to him and he calmed
down enough to look but spent the rest of the time with his head turned
away from it and screaming, "NO!!" i have hope though...my kinsey
girl looks forward to seeing the cow now and basically spends all her time at his
side (a FAR cry from how she used to be!)
