We kept the Easter eggs out because the kiddos always love hosting their own hunts in the backyard. We've used them to work on colors with ephram (by hiding same color manipulatives inside), for counting, and for sorting. Cailey decided to 'make an egg hunt' for ephram after his nap one afternoon and lovingly filled all the eggs with his snack, 'hid' them, then brought him out and EXCITEDLY praised him whenever he found one. I love when she uses 'motherese' to talk to him! She was so sweet to him and made another hunt for him after he found and opened all of the eggs.
