we woke up to this the day after Christmas! we measured
six inches on our porch table. this is UNheard of in Raleigh and
we were all pretty excited! the fourth snow in december!

We could NOT believe the kiddos would actually get to
USE their brand new sleds! The kiddos were so excited...and so were the
grownups:)
goofy smile! ephram woke up saying, "rain rain?"
i said "no, not rain" and then he said, "snowman?"
so cute! he was out long enough to get some pics and
go for a mini sled ride. thankfully nonny offered to watch him
while i went out with the rest of the fam.
testing out the new sleds...they each have fav's
we have to walk half a mile to a good sledding hill but it's worth it:)
SO thankful for the snow!
SO much laughing!
daddy's turn! he went down lots too but i only got one
pic because i wanted to let the camera dry...at this point it
was still snowing heavily.
anyone who knows me well knows that i LOVE the snow and everything that goes with it. whenever it snowed at the seminary we would always go sledding down the HUGE hills there...before kids:). we'd walk up those hills over and over for the excitement of sledding down. i loved being able to go down with the kiddos:). after a while i headed home with kinsey to make my favorite homemade hot chocolate recipe for everyone.
eventually daddy and the two oldest came home, got warm baths and joined us for cocoa before heading out again later in the day for more sledding and snowman making.
