Piano Recital

was nervous.

Cailey had her piano recital and did amazing! She played Spanish Cavalier, Shave and a Haircut, and Dragon Hunt. People around us were all whispering that they were surprised when she started playing because they didn't think she'd be able to play such hard songs! They were impressed to say the least. Cailey has an AMAZING ear for music and can somehow pick songs up and memorize them after hearing them only once or twice. While this is a GREAT skill it's been a challenge because she hasn't relied as much on her ability to read and follow music. We are currently working on sight-reading more and reading music notes but it's so hard for her to not pick it up after hearing it once! It's neat for us to see how much she's grown in just one year. We are SO proud of you, Cailey!
