Girl Weekend 2011

This weekend was our college girl weekend and we had a blast!! Only Laura and Karen could come for the overnights but we were still able to see Adele and Anne too:). Eve had a little "Vegas" excuse:), Anne was away with her hubby and Kelly and Adele had to work b/c we didn't know never saw our fb message about the weekend! Hopefully we'll all be back together next year (unless someone..ahem...is preggo) but honestly it'll be a blast with whoever comes...VERY relaxing and always peak season in the mountains. The weather was gorgeous and the leaves were beautiful...it truly was amazing!

Karen and I rode together and met Adele for lunch on the way up...after getting a little lost to find her. It made for sweet and funny memories. SO thankful to see you, girl!

When we got to the mountain house Laura was waiting for us and after catching up for a good bit we ran to Target for some fun clearance shopping! After debating getting some matching footie pj's :) we settled on the ones Karen has on. LOVE that my college friends are totally 'in' to my matching thing! Next we went food shopping and came home to have pizza for dinner. This picture makes me laugh out loud because Karen didn't think you could cut the pizza on the metal pan so decided to move it on a FLEXIBLE cutting board and carry it to the counter. The pizza won...she lost:)! HILARIOUS! It was a great start to the night of catching up and laughing.

Saturday morning we set out to go hiking to triple falls, hooker falls, and high falls. It was a beautifully gorgeous, wonderfully amazing hike! The sky was blue without a cloud in sight, the leaves were like a painting of fall colors, we had fun conversations, and we got some great exercise! (My quads are killing today!)

Next up we went to high falls...then up to the covered bridge where we saw lots of people riding horses. The whole thing was amazing and seemed to come right out of an Amish novel:).


The last place we hiked was to hooker falls where we literally just sat (just like a triple falls) taking in God's amazing beauty.


We came home for a quick cookie/girl weekend food break before going to Cheddar's for dinner then to the movies to see The Help. SO fun to go to the movies together...something I don't think I've EVER done with them! And we all happened to love the movie and leave with even more inside jokes to look back on and remember. We were hoping to get Laura's uncle (who lives next door) to take a picture of all of us in our matching jammies but we got home too late from our movie...boo. So I did the best I could since I couldn't figure out my self timer. We stayed up way too late catching up some more and laughing...more...then all crashed into bed.


We all left together on Sunday morning and Karen and I went to meet Anne (who was coming back from her trip) for lunch. It was SO good to see her and catch up...and make even more 'funnies' and memories:). What a GREAT time we all had together this weekend! Most of us only see each other once a year..but with our friendships you can't even tell because it's like no time has passed at all. Love you, ladies! Missed you Kell and Eve!
