It all started one rainy day in the beginning of September when we were driving home from American Heritage Girls and saw a group of teenagers KICK this giant turtle airborne across the street. I was appalled and got out to "save" the turtle from their unkindness. We literally put the wet turtle in the van and drove home. Our backyard turned into it's habitat complete with water for it to swim in, food, and it's favorite place...under the trampoline. Cailey named him runaway because even though our yard is small and the turtle was quite big he'd always take a while to find. The turtle is still in our yard over a month later and the kids love going out to find him. 
one day cailey decided it needed a good scrubbing:).
