Brian hasn't had much luck with this first style of the Honda Civic Hybrid. It's been great on gas but not so much with maintenance. We've only had it four years and have had to replace the transmission and a few other things within the last year. When he went to get it inspected it FAILED because of an electronic thing. JUST the part would cost 500 dollars..not including labor. SO we set out to sell it (and recoup the money put into it) and it sold in ONE day!
We debated on what to do for a new car (buy a van and have him drive the other one until it died...buy a corolla on sale, etc.) After many HOURS of deliberation at the car place he had to have something to drive to work the next day so we decided on a new Toyota Prius C. I am PRAYING nothing happens to this car and very hopeful we'll have it for MANY years!!
the kids LOVE the fact that it opens and starts without a key:).
