3 weeks

Braden has always memorized bible stories and bible verses very easily. Most Sunday's he'd come home from church and tell us exactly what he learned...and has always been the only one to do this. He LOVES reading anything but especially loves reading his picture bible (which is a comic book type bible). Last year at AWANAS he finished his book super quickly...but this year he went even faster. We don't encourage him to memorize them quickly but he has a passion for it and does most of the learning on his own. A lot of the verses (and def the books of the bible) were review for him and he continues to remember them so there were only a few 'new to him' verses. My goal for the kiddos AND those I am listening to each week is always for the words to get in their heart...NOT for them to learn them just for that week and then turn around and forget them the next week. This is the main reason I think he goes through it so quickly...these words are in his heart.

In three weeks he finished the entire book (which is designed to last a whole school year) and did the review (which means go through the entire book again). Now he'll move onto the next book before doing something even more exciting. I can't wait to see how much he learns and grows this year:).

We are SO proud of you, Braden and pray that God's word will always be in your heart in times of rejoicing and times of trials. We love you so much, sweet boy!
