what a difference one week makes

this is my poor cailey girl after getting heat exhaustion during her SUPER hot soccer game at 11:00. for three weeks in a row (so far) the kids have had an 8:00 game and a 10:00 game. There is really no point in us going home so we stay and let the kiddos play on playground during the 'downtime' in between games. braden has all the 8:00 games and cailey's are later. she hadn't been drinking her water and it was SO HOT! she was acting weird and said her stomach hurt. the coach gave her gatorade but she still didn't feel good. (this was a week when brian wasn't with me b/c he had to work). so we came home and i put all four in the tub and fed them a big lunch. she felt better by the afternoon but i was worried about her splotchy fact and tummy ache for a while!

this is exactly one week later. notice the pants, coats, turtle necks, and blankets. gotta love NC! i LOVE the fall weather and look forward to the crisp mornings. unfortunately it's back to 87 degrees and record highs at the moment...but hopefully the fall weather will be back to stay soon...afterall, it's the middle of October!

reece was playing a game so cailey was able to play with Lindsey. they were doing races and i made a few obstacle courses for them.




now that he's walking, sweet ephram is causing problems during the games:). we've had to get him off the field a couple of times but if he has a car to push he's usually happy. it's hard to be one and have to stay somewhere for THREE hours! the cone picture makes me laugh because a coach for the younger kids had just set them up and walked away...then we all turned around to see him destroy them. it was a scene out of godzilla:). he's made a couple of buds his age too who are GREAT at sharing their toys with him!
