apparently NO ONE in MD sold sparklers that we could find:( BUT we did buy the kids some "poppers" to play with...which they loved.
we went to the castle park again this year and had the PERFECT set up. we got there early enough to back into a great parking space and were the third one out afterwards. we played on the playground for a long time together before heading to the blanket for cards, ice cream, goodies, volley ball with new friends, chasing/catching lightning bugs, and fireworks.
LOVE these smiles! i was bouncing them HIGH!
balancing contest...before moving to one foot
ephram loves to collect and play with mulch and sticks. this smile stayed on Cailey's face all night...it was awesome. we played a GREAT game of tag which was so fun because it's a big park and wasn't crowded at all.
and ice cream truck came...so we surprised them and let them each pick something....they were SO excited! (usually i just buy it at the store b/c it's MUCH cheaper...we don't 'do' ice cream trucks so it was extra special:)
they played WAR while ephram drove his car around the blanket...i love how much he loves cars, rocks, and sticks:). cailey saw some kids playing volley ball and immediately made a new friend.
it rained for a while but we just opened the back of the van and hung out there until it stopped then went back out to our chairs/blanket.
close, clean bathrooms, AWESOME playground, easy ride home w/o traffic, great seats, not crowded, perfect fireworks...what's not to love??
