worth celebrating!!
We use our celebration plate for more than Gotcha Days and Birthdays. For example...this particular day was worth a HUGE celebration for Cailey! She was BEYOND excited to have the 'B' plate and more importantly so excited about why she had it.
It all started with the word 'test'. I'm not sure why but for some reason she gets very nervous (and quite frankly freaks out) when she hears that word. SO this year (for the first year) I started giving English tests and calling the Math REVIEW sheets tests just so she could get used to the word and NOT panic. Let's just say the first few English tests didn't go well. At all. But it's not because she didn't know it...she was just nervous, I guess.
This day was celebrated because she only missed four questions on her English test (which is 3 pages long..1 page front and back then another front). Four may sound like a lot but it was a HUGE improvement and accomplishment for her and boy did we celebrate!! Again..she doesn't struggle in English, just struggles with the word TEST. We were dancing around the room together and just so excited! I am SO thankful I can be here for the small accomplishments as well as the big:).
