Winter Door Art

the kids asked for 7 trees and 7 snowmen, picked
the placement and size, and then i painted the
outline for each one.
(for each member of the family, including macy)

tissue paper tree

we cut up white lace for the
little snowman (which Kinsey
was in charge of:)

braden LOVED using cotton
balls for the giant snowman

cailey came up with this: hole punch
trash snowman:)

braden's smart idea..cut up a sponge and
glue it on the tree

hats, eyes, buttons, and Braden's
fabulous idea of using ribbon as scarves
Oh...and painting on arms

the kids added 'snow' on the trees using
white paint and wanted white sequence garland
on one. they also used snowflake sequence to decorate the
paper.

Every time they do door art I always end up saying, "this is my favorite one, yet!" This one took HOURS because they were really into it and just so creative! I wasn't able to take as many pictures of the trees, but they were made out of flat tissue, crumbled tissue, green paint, glitter paint, sponge paint, sponges, red berries (beads) , and white sequence for garland.

The snowmen were made out of hole punches, lace, toilet paper (thought that was awesome!!), cotton balls, tissue paper, and crumbled tissue paper. It was honestly like doing a ton of crafts in one day because there were so many things!

After the trees and snowmen were basically done, the kiddos figured out how they wanted to decorate each one. They each picked out ribbon, beads, buttons, pom poms, paint, foam, etc. that was needed to finish each snowman. Then they decided to put blue, gold, and silver snowflake sequence on it so it would look like snow was falling.
