Gingerbread House Party!

We hosted a gingerbread party at our house with friends and had a blast! We all had different houses and had fun trying to figure out how to put them together while the kids played. Anytime you have 13 kids 8 and under funny things are gonna happen...and boy did we laugh a lot! The first thing that sent us all laughing was realizing that Molly's 'gingerbread house' was actually supposed to be made out of chocolate. Completely chocolate. She had to melt, pour, refrigerate and repeat.

Beth helped Kelly and I out with the building process. While the kiddos were waiting for the houses to dry and finish being built I read them stories and had them decorate our Hallmark tree.

they had a blast decorating! check out that chocolate house!

candy time

our finished houses...what a yummy neighborhood they made!

pizza party for lunch! this was two days after ephram's surgery
and he just wanted to be rocked and snuggled. he went to whoever had
open arms and could hold him.

after lunch the kids tried to deliver cookies to a neighbor
and sing carols but they weren't home.

after everyone left the kiddos ate a little more of their
candy. i told them to wait one day until after our adult
Christmas party to eat it all...and they did!

LOVE these pics of ephram creeping closer and closer until he finally touched the candy! he actually put a piece in his mouth and said, "YUCK!" and spit it back out. i'm not crazy about gingerbread candy either:)

they ate all the candy
off the house FIRST THING the morning after our party
and our plan was to redecorate it again...i LOVE that
idea! unfortunately daddy didn't know our plan and threw it away
after all the candy was eaten off and before it was decorated again.
