Uncle Dennis and Aunt Laura
Samuel was THRILLED to be able to hold Ephram and didn't
want to put him down. So sweet!
the boys
sweet Hannah just had to have a turn too:)
'the littles' playing with Ephram. i think they were just as
excited to see the toys as he was:)
Rebecca and Ephram...she was so sweet to him and would just
'take a break' from playing to come hold him.
these girls have missed each other!
Bama couldn't wait to meet Ephram. She's been
a great prayer supporter for us!
we have so many kids that we've grown out of eating at one
table together so the 'big girls' eat separately...which is actually
how they like it.
all the littles wanted Bama to hold them!
all of our beautiful children....a true picture of God's family
this picture makes me feel like they are so
grown up....approaching the 'tween' years!
Our families have had some pretty big changes since we've seen each other. We get together once every month but sometimes it's more like two when we meet at the beginning of one month and the end of the next. The same weekend that we went to get Ephram in Korea, they were moving into a new house! Hard to believe that our 'BIG' things happened at the same time yet we both waited SO long for them to happen.
It was great to see everyone again but Laura and I hardly had a moment to talk because... hello...we have EIGHT kids between us now! Seems like as soon as one of us was done helping someone that another one of the kiddos needed us. This too shall pass...and all too quickly! It was nice to catch up a little and just hang out again, though.
Memory:
When Kinsey came, Rebecca (who was an only child) couldn't WAIT to hold her and play with her...all the time. Cailey (who saw Kinsey daily) was NOT thrilled and wanted all of Rebecca's attention. When the twins came we had the opposite issue...Cailey wanted to hold them ALL of the time while Rebecca would beg her to play. I mean...what's so exciting about a baby you see everyday:)?? Now we're back to being the ones with the baby. True to the past, Rebecca wanted to love on Ephram when Cailey was asking her to play. At least they are old enough to hear and understand (and laugh) at this story. Don't get me wrong...Cailey is SMITTEN with him. At home she can't get enough of him...but I think she wants to play when we're with Rebecca. Completely understandable.
