Easter Sunday 2011

after Brian read to the kiddos they headed down to look for their Easter baskets...Ephram
'found' his first and couldn't wait to sit down and read his new book...then asked politely for his cars which were in the giant eggs.

then Braden, Cailey, and finally Kinsey's!

We don't 'do' the Easter bunny but we do hide their baskets...a tradition carried over from my childhood.

family pics before we went to the church where the kiddos did the egg hunt (new to us). it was very similar to Journey and called 'Journey's Crossing'...I think it's new b/c it met at the high school. mom came with us too:)!

after church we took some pictures and ate lunch before the egg hunt

poppy hid the eggs for the kiddos while we were at church. we scaled down this year and 'only' hid 90.

ephram had a blast and wanted to open each one...thankfully we convinced him to wait.

distracted by the doggie....and braden found the golden egg this year! it was the last egg found and SUPER hard for them even though it was at eye level.

We had a great time at Nonny and Poppy's and stayed until after dinner...a yummy ham cooked by nonny. The weather was actually hot which allowed the girls to wear their dresses (YAY) because the day before it was 40 and rainy...strange weather! The kiddos played outside a lot and we played more games together. Very blessed day, indeed.
