how does your garden grow?

nonny and poppy have a garden which produced a TON of cucumbers this year! kinsey, braden, and i LOVE cucumbers so we had at least a couple of them every day. we brought back around 10 and already went through them! mom says she has about 40 on her counter right now...wish we lived closer! braden really enjoys going out to see all the vegetables growing and learning about when it's ready to be picked. while we were there he got banana peppers, green peppers, and the tomatoes were just about ready.

ephram looked so cute 'reading' with his feet up:)! cailey and braden get VERY creative with the toys at nonny and poppy's! they were turning this basket and stand into a swing for a stuffed animal.

mom took us to the new Wegman's grocery store 45 minutes for lunch one day. they had restaurants inside with TONS of food to choose from. the grocery part was much bigger than any of the one our kids have been too and while cailey and kinsey were in love with all the aisles of candy bins, braden was drooling over all the different kinds of mushrooms! i just had to get a pic of his excited face...over his favorite food....mushrooms!!

oh...and wegman's brought back great memories of the times I would fly up by myself to visit my granny. it was pretty much the only outing we did but i loved spending time with her!

kinsey spent time helping nonny cook...and ephram LOVED to watch poppy carve

ever since I taught them how to play 'mother may i' it's been their FAVORITE thing to play outside. they think of great things to do and get lots of exercise!

cailey's lauging because i was the 'mother' and said, "Cailey, put the pink hairbow in Poppy's hair" and when she said, "Mother May I" she totally thought I'd say no and was just tickled that I said, "yes you may:)". poppy was a good sport long enough for a picture.
