Fall Maryland Trip...day 1

We went to Maryland for our annual apple picking trip for a long weekend. We drove up on a Wednesday night and the kids woke up Thursday ready to play and hang out with Nonny. We ran errands and went out to lunch with her before coming home for more playing and relaxing. Right away Ephram found the LEGOS and built me lots of towers. He also loved being pushed in the stroller.

While the girls were playing war (and fighting) I decided to 're'introduce them to the game 52 pickup. They were SO excited!! Then I threw the cards down and they RACED to see who could pick up the most...OVER and OVER. It was hilarious! Brian and I fully expected them to think it was silly and not want to clean them up...but my competitive girls turned it into a game.

and kept asking me to do it.

Then we went outside to wait for the Klick's who were joining us on our vacation this year!! The kids were so excited and couldn't wait to see them.

Bop it was popular at Nonny's house...and will be joining our family as a present for Christmas. After a super yummy dinner prepared by nonny (complete with one of TWO chocolate cakes she made while we were there)

And it just so happened to be Caden's birthday too so we sang and opened presents after dinner.

the weather was gorgeous so we went outside for the rest of the night (until bedtime, of course)

there were LOTS of races, freeze tag, and hide and seek...even with the daddies! the babies came in occasionally for a 'doggie break'.

then it was bedtime for all...talk about a full and HAPPY day!
