co op hunt

The hunt was at Durant Nature Park again this year and I was one of the helpers. The kiddos were broken down into groups by age which put Kinsey and Braden together this year!

I just LOVE to see little ones at an egg hunt!! Ephram TOTALLY knew what he was doing because he helped me fill our eggs with jellybeans a few days before. Everyday he'd ask, "Can I find the eggs NOW and eat my jellybeans?" He was precious wanting to open every egg and see what was inside. There must have been lots of girls in his group because most of the eggs he got were filled with rings, pink stickers, or princess silly bands. Thankfully he's got sweet siblings who were quick to share their candy with him:).

Now the fact that each of my kiddos has a 'technique' when hunting for eggs just cracks me up!! Braden has always been the one to get as many as he could as fast as he could and check inside later...and he has ALWAYS ended up with the best stash:). At this hunt you were only allowed to get 10 eggs so he was done quick. The girls, on the other hand, are in it for the loot. Kinsey wants candy and gets lots of eggs but not before shaking them to see if there's something good inside. She's kind of 'in between' Braden and Cailey's techniques. Cailey is the funniest because she will have only a few eggs when it's all said and done since she opens EACH one (or shakes if she's listening for money, etc.) and throws back the ones she isn't happy with! Never thought you could tell things about personality's with egg hunts before but boy do my three oldest have their own way they like to go about it!

Hanging out with friends, Braden was with Reece while Cailey was with both Abby and Lindsay, and Kinsey was with Lily. They had a great time hunting then they got to play field games and do relay races in the different age groups. I was with the preschoolers and we spent our time on the playground. The older groups had all sorts of fun games set up for them including egg races, balloon relays, etc. Cailey won some neat prizes for both her basket decoration and winning a couple of field games.
