Grand Ole' Flag

Cailey picked out her outfit and hairstyle (thankfully it was a warm February day) and asked me to curl her pigtails so they would 'bounce' as she marched.

Our co op has a fine arts talent show every year and Cailey decided she wanted to sing in it. Her first plan was to sing, "Who is the God?" but a few weeks later she changed it up and wanted to sing "The Grand Ole' Flag." She practiced and made up motions (and marched) to go along with her performance that were very cute! She ended up going first (just like she guessed) and did a wonderful job! All the kiddos enjoyed watching the rest of the show and decided they wanted to do it again next year.

We went to the bookstore the day before and Cailey fell in love with the unicorn she is holding in the last picture. She rarely asks for things when we go out and wanted it so much. I told her she couldn't get it that day and then asked Kelly to 'sneak' and buy it for me so I could surprise her with it after her performance (instead of flowers, which would be dead by now:). She was SO surprised and LOVED it! She's named it Sparkle Uni and plays with it all the time. I LOVE surprising people I love:)!!
