Nightly Christmas traditions...

This is a glimpse into our December nights as a family. We start in the living room where the kids take turns reading our Jesse tree scripture and devotion then answer a few questions about it. (Sometimes we read too...if it's super late or just really long).

Then they hang the Jesse tree ornament on our tree in the window
to remember what it's really about. We start with Adam and Eve and
go through the bible leading up until Christ's birth. Amazing to take this
journey together every December.

Then we light a candle as Mary makes her way...moving one spot until Christmas day. The picture above is Ephram leaning on Braden during prayer...LOVE. Next up we sing a couple carols...and the older two will sometimes add piano music to them...and sometimes we dance around:).

we love our nativity candles too..a walk through the story

Next up is our Magnetic Advent Nativity Calendar...another Christmas tradition I love. We got this in Boston. Each child takes a turn (starting with the youngest) with taking out things from the doors.

Then comes our giant pocket calendar where we keep jesse tree ornaments and their tradition Andes mint. I'm pretty sure this is why Ephram can be heard shouting, "Jesse treat time!"

Finally it ends with Christmas stories read by Daddy and
then the 12 days of Christmas song. I love our Christmas nights:). Pretty
sure the kids do too. Oh...and if we happen to have company (which has happened twice)
late they join right along in with us.
