seasons pass...too quickly.

the view from my window...gorgeous sky, gorgeous blooms,
gorgeous COOL day.

this weekend has been super busy. it started friday morning with watching alex then heading to co op from 9-12. then i realized it was my week to help clean up so I had to rush home later than usual and quickly feed the kiddos before heading right back out to take the girls to American Heritage Girls from 1-3. After I picked them up they packed for a lock in which I took Braden to at 5, then on the way picked up Gracie (who was going to the lock in and banquet with Cailey). The girls played outside for 30 minutes until Brian got home and we left for the Upward Banquet....but on the way Cailey remembered she forgot her uniform (which had been laid out) so we ran back home quickly. Dinner was at the awards banquet...and I got to see Kinsey cheer one last time and do a pyramid. Plus they both got their awards. On the way home we dropped the big girls off at the lock in and took Ephram and Kinsey home (as Kinsey decided she didn't want to do the lock in) for wii/movie night...which had been promised earlier in the day. Little did we realize that we'd get home at 8. BUT promises are promises...then they had their own little sleepover.

saturday morning began bright and early as Kinsey had an 8am soccer game which Brian took her too as I went to pick the kids up from their lock in at awana. I rushed Gracie home, realized Cailey forgot a brush so rushed home to get it then barely made it to Cailey's 9am game where we cheered her on. After the game brian took everyone home (oldest two to SLEEP) except for kinsey who had a 10am game. I stayed to cheer her on then we headed home. i noticed the gorgeous trees on the way home with the blue sky so i took time to take a picture because i know the flowers won't be around for long. Brian ran out to get a frame for Braden's artwork since the one we first had didn't work while the oldest two caught up on sleep and the youngest two played outside. wake up was 2pm since we found out they were "forced" (according to Cailey) to go to sleep at 12 and didn't really lose out on too much so all in all with the nap they got 10 hrs. braden handled it fine and practiced his piano song for the fine arts show...cailey had a hard time being ok with being awake but eventually practiced as well. after a quick dinner we headed to the fine arts show where they all did great! Cailey sang, "Go Light Your World" with her siblings coming in on one verse, Braden played Sonatina on piano, and both Braden and Kinsey did art work. They were also to hang out with friends and eat some more:).

today (spring forward) started with the oldest two running FIVE miles (since they are training for a 10K) then we dropped cailey off at gracie's so she could go sing for choir at Bayleaf while we barely made it to church on time. when we got home the plan was to go to Pullen Park until I found out UNC was playing at 1. all stops for UNC around here so we stayed home...until I heard my ipad ding letting me know braden had ice skating with boy scouts!! agh! i had forgotten so with NO time to spare we headed to Wake Forest for it1-2. At 3:30 we fed the kids dinner because Cailey had early choir rehearsal from 4-5 and since it's nice Brian took all the kids to the playground during her rehearsal. Then they all went to Awana 5-6:15 and will head to choir right after that (6:30-7:30). While the three oldest are at choir and the Morgan girls aren't going (since they usually bring ours home) Brian only has an hour to kill....so instead of coming home he's gonna take ephram out for a daddy date and eat ice cream. with his little guy. how sweet it will be:)! I felt like a taxi on Friday...and Sunday's are Brian's taxi days. Lots of talk happens when I'm in the car with the kiddos...it's nice.

I'm happy the kids have such great opportunities but overlapping sports seasons stink. Thankfully they LOVE everything they are involved in and beg to go...so we oblige. They won't be kids for long..this season will pass way too quickly...just like the spring flowers on the trees. Thankful and blessed to be a part of it:).

for some reason since last week was rained out and she has a "bye" one week she had two this week. i have NO idea why as we've been with KFTC for 7 seasons and it's never been like this. we didn't find out until thursday that it was gonna be that way either.
