Welch Weekend...plus the Morgan Girls

We watched the Welch kids for the weekend...and the Morgan girls joined us too!  They spent a good bit of their days outside playing in the gorgeous weather.

this is how they usually buddy off...Braden with Isaac (Braden is SO sweet with him) and Samuel with Ephram (Samuel is SO sweet with him)

the big girls raked up leaves in piles
then everyone joined in on the leaf throwing fun!  after a few minutes I figured out the leaves were getting stuck in hannah's hair so they stuck with jumping in the piles only:)

That evening we had to leave the house for a showing so I packed all the kids in the van...yup...all TEN of them and drove very slowly to the back of the neighborhood for a picnic and playground time. Thankfully Brian ordered pizzas so we didn't have to make a mess in the house prepping food. Add some juice boxes, apples, carrots, and cucumbers and it was a clean dinner!  I thought the plan was perfect until several children had to go potty NOW.
thankfully we were able to go to Leslie's for the potty...three different times. sigh. oh..and Brian was there to watch the other kiddos. since that wasn't exciting enough one of the children stepped on ketchup and it exploded EVERYWHERE in the van and all over her clothes! thankfully we were able to borrow clothes from leslie's house:).  man it's great having awesome neighbors!
We still had time to kill so after they were done with the playground and rolling down the hill (and posing for pics, of course) we had them do various races to get all their energy out.
they LOVED the races!  these kids probably ran a mile before we were done with them!

the next day we had another showing so my goal was to keep as many people outside in the sunshine as possible.  it worked pretty well since there are so many of them. everyone had a friend (or 8) to play with.

the boys had a blast playing games, reading to each other, and doing puzzles when they weren't outside digging for bugs or making mud pies:)

cailey and rebecca spent a good bit of their time making videos and writing plays.  when they weren't playing soccer outside they were either writing or performing plays for us. (Gracie and Emily Ruth spent the whole day/night with us too).

Laura had come up with a plan where we would trade girls for a few days and they were thrilled. I must say I got a much BIGGER reaction of excitement from the big girls but I'm not sure Kinsey and Hannah totally understood:).  So Rebecca stayed with me from fri-wed and Kinsey went to Laura's sat night-wed. Boy I missed that girl!

From what I hear Kinsey assumed the role of 'mama's helper' which is one she's great at...and one she loves. She is VERY helpful with younger children and loves to be in charge:).

All the girls did school mon-wed then played the rest of the day. Oh..and on Monday I watched Gracie and Emily Ruth all day too. All four girls got a long great! They spent the night on Saturday night then again on Sunday night...talk about fun weekend for the girls!

We took the kids to Panera and the mall to play while the house was being shown.
our book worms at Barnes and Noble!

I took these three girlies out for dinner and to Cailey's basketball evaluation after a fun day together.
