Alamace Battleground

We went on a really great field trip to Alamance Battleground during Colonial days. Cailey decided that they should try and dress the part...lol!

learning about how the flag changed over the years

 candle making
Ephram thought this guy was a pirate:) But he was a cobbler

checking out the smoke house...with friends!
Laura and her crew joined us as well.

Watching the blacksmith make a nail

 Writing with quills

 making cider

 watching a rifle instruction

after a picnic lunch we watched a canon demonstration
This was a very cool place to take the kids and they loved learning about life in the colonial days. My favorite part was being in the kitchen and watching the rotisserie chicken cooking over the fire...and learning about all the foods that were enjoyed during that time period.
