Braden ran his second 5K yesterday with Brian and had a lot of fun! It was pretty cold to be a cheerleader (at 40 degrees..and windy...colder in the shade) but perfect for my runner with lots of layers. He had fun from start to finish and said he LOVES to run:)! This was by far much more fun for him than soccer...he actually enjoyed waking up early for training runs which is something he's done since September. They never focus on speed, only on distance and Braden likes it so much!
we saw the Hileman's racing too...PROUD of my biggest boy!!
and they're off....then 36:39 minutes later they were done!
i've never seen pizza after a race but he was a happy boy! it was followed by bananas, bagels, granola bars, water, and peanuts!
Braden said this race was better than last week because he didn't have any cramps and he couldn't hear water sloshing around in his belly. Thankfully this one was in the morning so he didn't have a days worth of food in his tummy:).
We are SO very proud of you, Braden!! No matter what you never quit! I love that you LOVE to run and do races:)!.
