Happy 9th Birthday Cailey!

Today was Cailey's 9th birthday! Usually we are at the beach this week but it's a Disney year so we were home. We decided NOT to do school today (we did it last Wednesday and will start again tomorrow) so we could celebrate Cailey all day!

Nonny was here this morning before she left to go back home. So neat to think back of when Cailey was a newborn and mom stayed to help me for two weeks! I was doing a lot of remembering back to her actual 'birth' day over the last couple days. She's the only one of ours that I CAN reminisce about when it comes to a birth story. Boy it seems like yesterday...yet a lifetime ago at the same time.

After LOTS of "happy birthday breaks" we met the Williams for lunch...where the kids enjoyed not only lunch but ice cream and mini milk shakes! Cailey brought her "B" plate to eat lunch on...and they gave her a mini cow and pink balloon since it was her birthday:).

Kinsey's sweet friend, Stacy, shares a birthday with Cailey so we met up with them at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate some more!

Daddy got off early and surprised Cailey...she was SO excited!

the 'big boys' and the birthday girls...four years apart:)

Afterwards we started a new tradition...one I can't wait to continue. We told Cailey that she would get to go out with JUST mommy and daddy to wherever she wanted. She picked Chili's because she wanted molten lava cake for dessert...and was THRILLED to be the 'only child'. This will be a tradition we will do with all of the kids...one on one time with Brian and I together:). Thankfully Beth was able to watch the other kiddos while we took her to dinner and then the mall.

She was BEYOND embarrassed when they sang to her (which surprised me because she loves to be the center of attention) and kept saying she "shrank under the table" when they sang.

yep...she had her special plate at dinner and dessert too:) they were so nice to wash it for us too!

We took her to Claire's (and a few other stores) after dinner so she could use her birthday gift cards. She looked all over the store and then saw big/little sister necklaces and wanted to get them for her and Kinsey. She used her money and spent it on her sister...SO precious!! Kinsey was thrilled...LOVE it!

Then she opened gifts from mommy and daddy/siblings. A special card I made for her, a watch, turquoise tic tacs, silly bands, and 'her own' pack of gum:). She also got a fancy 'special' cup when we were at the beach that has a C on it.

These guys sure did a great job of making Cailey's day the "best birthday EVER"!

Happy birthday sweet princess!

"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be"
By the way...9 seems SO old!! She said she was halfway to 18. I sure hope the years slow down because the first 9 flew by.

So glad we could celebrate two special girls together on the same day. The picture of them 4 years apart and the boys who are the same age was hilarious. I LOVE seeing those two together.
