Braden had his blue and gold ceremony for Boy Scouts...meaning he completed all of the requirements for his bear.

after the ceremony there was a taco dinner for all the families and scouts. Then Jeff Jones came to do a magic show complete with bunny, two doves, and a rat. The kids LOVED it! Braden's favorite trick was when he put two doves in a cage, shook it, and then there was nothing but white paper. They each (including all the siblings) came home with a two sided silk handkerchief so they could work on learning their own tricks. it was a FUN night for everyone!
The highlight of the evening for Braden was when he received the Slug Award (and trophy) for having the slowest car at the pinewood derby that made it across the finish line every time. He was actually hoping to win it when he saw his car was slow! He was so excited! It's actually pretty hard to make a slow car that doesn't stop before the finish line (like so many of them do). Though it was NOT the intention to make it slow he was happy with the outcome!
