Braden's 9th Birthday!

Happiest of birthdays to my first boy!  Braden was thrilled to have his birthday on a Saturday this year with the whole family home. What made it even better was that Bryce was able to spend a good day of today with us. Braden was excited to have sleepover so he'd be there for his birthday morning:).

We had an 8:00 soccer game so Braden decided he wanted Chick Fil A for breakfast.  He got a giant breakfast burrito, hash browns, and orange juice. He and Bryce played during the soccer game.

When we came home the boys went right outside to play and look for bugs:). That's one of Braden's favorite things to do so they had a blast!  They spent hours going from outside to playing games inside.

Before we left for another soccer game I made Braden the 'princess leia cinnamon rolls' he requested to go with grape tomatoes and mushrooms!  Oh..and he had his favorite snack food too...pretzels! He thought the lunch was super yummy.

At the game Bryce, Kinsey, Braden, Lilly, and Brian kicked around the soccer ball before the boys started looking for multi-legged creatures and sticks. Braden was laughing so hard and having fun being chased by Ephram too.

After the game we dropped Bryce off and came home to a cupcake and light saber snack.  Braden spent the afternoon doing what he loves...reading and putting together all of the Lego sets he got for his birthday.

Braden requested Chili's for dinner where he got his favorite foods on a sandwich!  Steak, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and avocado.  It was HUGE and he ended up bringing half home for tomorrow.

They came and brought him ice cream with chocolate sauce after singing:).

after dinner we headed to the park for a mini reunion with Sunday school friends. Braden was psyched to get to spend more time with his buds!

We went to the bookstore after the park as this was Braden's biggest request. After gazing up and down the rows he finally decided on a National Geographic 1000 strange facts book. And since I can't help myself I added some others to put in our 'school' library. I asked Braden what his favorite part of the whole day was and he said it was going to the bookstore with me.  He thought for a long time before answering but my boy LOVES books and he LOVES dates with his mommy:).

We gave Braden his big gift yesterday.  It was a Skylanders Giants set...and he was THRILLED!  He and Bryce played with it today and he can't wait to play again. I had to give it to him yesterday because Caden was giving him a Skylander:).  Today he opened his other gift which was a missal launching yard toy that he saw at a friends' house and played with forever. He loved it:)....and is excited to try it out.

Braden is nine. I can't believe it! Only ONE year away from double digits.  My how time is passing too quickly with my first baby boy.  Braden has had a rough year, medically speaking, and I'm praying that 9 brings him relief and no pain. I love you to the moon and back a zillion times, Braden!  I'm so thankful that God handpicked you and put you in our family...to make us a family of four. What a blessing you are. I can't wait to see what God has in store for your life. I pray you ALWAYS Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.  He alone will get you through! He can help you overcome your biggest struggles...I believe it!  I love you!
