Spring Break

 We went up to mom and dad's for our spring break so the oldest two could have their DC trip.  When we arrived it was the day after Braden's birthday and they had presents for him...AND a cake which he loved.

 Ephram came in right away and greeted his favorite furry friends.  He was usually with at least one of the doggies pretty much the whole time.

 The kiddos played LOTS of games with Nonny! (Sorry, Bingo, Candy Land, Connect Four, and To Grandmother's House we Go).

 Braden and Nonny went out for Chinese to celebrate his birthday.

 the kiddos hanging out with poppy on the swing.  the weather had been SUPER cold up there but when we arrived it went from 50's to upper 80's!  i couldn't believe how HOT it got...craziness.  And of course it got cool again as soon as we left.

Mom watched Kinsey and Ephram for two days while we were in DC.  They went out to lunch together, played lots of games, did play dough, Kinsey helped mom plant flowers, went on a walk, they ran errands, and played more games (according to K&E).  Ephram wasn't sad we left at all because he said that Nonny would play games with him and give him yummy food:).  When we got home they were watching a nature show all about bears with Poppy.

Mom and I hung out all the nights we were there, ran errands, shopped, went to dad's woodworking show, etc.  One day dad and Brian took the kids to the castle park but it was SO hot that they only lasted 30 min.  The next day Dad took us to a bookstore where the kids read the whole time...and LOVED it.

We had a fun trip but as usual it went WAY too fast.  This was the first 'break' we've really taken because I like to finish up the school year early that usually even when we travel we still bring school along (at least Math, Spelling, Reading and English). Kinsey did read and the older two learned TONS of History at the museums so those days will actually count as school days.
