They've been citizens since they entered the country after they were adopted BUT we had to pay a ton o' money and make an appointment to go get their certificates of citizenship as the 'proof' that they are actually citizens. This is issued by the federal government (vs. the county that does the first part). So here is their official certificates of citizenship. They were also given American flags:) Gotta say I'm glad this is over and the money is paid.
