Switched Up Beach Day

It was a rainy rainy morning at the beach so we decided to switch things up. The day started with Hot Now from Krispy Kreme, then we all got dressed.

We played some card games and Brian got us the movie Dophin Tale to watch together. Perfect for being at the beach...especially since we saw a group of dolphins swimming with each other a few days before.

After the movie we went out to lunch as a family then the rain stopped so we went to play putt putt and use our rain check.

Ephram was so excited that he could play too!

Daddy won....but sweet Kinsey thought that she had since her score was the highest!

After our fun morning we went out to spend the rest of the day on the beach...and it was our best beach day yet! The water was calm, the tide was out, and there was a giant sand bar that we were able to play on together. Even I went out in the ocean for a long time:)! (With Brian or the kids holding me, of course:)

Boogie Boarding was really fun that day too because of the tide.

Braden LOVED holding the crab that was found. And he
helped sweet Kinsey get out to the sand bar.

crabby...and sweet brothers

proof that I really DO go out and play with the children:).

turning daddy into a drippy monster

Our setup everyday...plus "Here Comes The King!" Ephram has
done a GREAT job while we've been at the beach considering he has a lot
of limitations. He wants so badly to sit in the water, go in the pool, and play in the sand without having to worry about "his bad leg"

When it was time for dinner we headed up to the pool. It was nice and warm so Cailey and Braden decided to eat their popsicles in it.

We lasted until dusk then came in to shower off. Cleaning Ephram up is a HUGE ordeal and a two person task. We wash him on the kitchen counter and hold him over the sink to clean his hair. I had to document it so Brian and I can hopefully look back and laugh at the madness! We pretty much get the entire kitchen floor wet because of the sprayer that goes all over. Ahh...the sacrifices we make so the kids can have a great time:).

After getting cleaned up Brian took the oldest three out in the dark to find crabs.
