While Brian was home he was able to do some History projects with the kiddos. The favorite was a tie between making purple dye and building pyramids.
boiling cabbage to make the royal color:
purple! (it was much easier than boiling snails
like they did back in the ancient times..but
just as stinky:)
boil for one hour
drain and take out a couple cups
add alum and pasta
leave the pasta in until it is purple and
take out to dry. you can have them make a
necklace with the pasta but it was WAY too
stinky for me!
