all the chicks...

This was BY FAR the kids favorite thing to do at farm days! All three of them adored the baby chicks and were so gentle with them. We went over there twice during the day and I think the kids would still be there if we didn't have to leave! Cailey asked if we could get one as a pet, but clearly we said, "no". I'm thinking that maybe next year we should hatch some though so they can see the whole process. I can't say enough about how much they each loved holding the baby chicks!

so when geof and i were in college we had this friend at MIT who always talked about the "chicks" he was meeting or going out with. we decided to send him a shipment of baby chicks as a joke. a big box labeled "live chicks" arrived at his fraternity house, and i believe they had chick races before sending them to a local farm near Boston. :) more random facts from my past...

They are cute and I have heard of several classes hatching chicks but how are the kids going to feel when they have to be given to a farm? Just curious. :)

The farm day sounded like fun...wish we had known about it. Guess I need to turn on the TV or something?
