to cut or not to cut....

To cut or not to cut, that is the question....well....debate! My mom thinks I look better with short hair. I like my long hair but am open to other opinions. It will NOT hurt my feelings so PLEASE give me some feedback! Reasons to keep it long: 1. I do nothing with it, therefore it's easy 2. I can pull it up (which when I think about it, I only pull it up when I exercise) 3. It's cheap...short hair always requires a lot more haircuts throughout the year 4. Everytime I cut it I ALWAYS regret it. Reasons to cut it: 1. It would be something different...for a few weeks anyway 2. My mom says I should

So what do you guys in the blog world think??? Here are some pics of me with hair of varying lengths over the past 8 years.

1....................2

3...................4

5...................6

7.....................8

OK....so vote for which cut you like the best! Oh...and to all my friends that I put on here- sorry for not asking you first! I didn't have any pictures of me by myself!

I think number 3 is the best! I don't mind that I am in a pic with you!

My philosophy is go with what you and your husband like best - those are the 2 opinions that matter most.

Me, personally, I'm with you on going for what's easiest - just be thankful you don't have gray hair to color every few weeks which is much more expensive than any of those styles would be to keep trimmed.

Mom voted for number 7 or 4 via email...I need to teach her how to comment on the blog:)

Oh, I am so over this one Heather! First off, you are fortunate that you look good in so many styles - short or long.

Now....on to the 'plan'. Let's make a girl's night out of this and I'll go with you for your 'transformation'. Let's skip the basic bob and let's go for the bob where it is short in back and angles down to your chin. Let's make you sassy! I am all over this!! I love this stuff!! If you need chocolate before taking the plunge - I'm buying!! :)

Janet you are so hilarious!! I'll go for the night out and chocolate, but I'm not so sure about the angle stuff:)

Hey - Janet, count me in for the night out as long as I can get my hair done, too. Personally, I like the very first picture with Braden - the current long look. Maybe you could have them texturize the ends to take some of the weight off it, but still leave you most of the length so you can pull it back when you need too. It's less work when they thin out the ends or put in long layers. If you do go short, I second Janet's suggestion. Have them stack the back and let it swing toward the front. I've tried everything, and that is definitely a cute look! Can you tell I've been debating the same thing since I haven't had a decent hair cut since Ellary came? :)

I just looked at them closely, and you look JUST LIKE Cailey in #2!!

I like #1 the best! Long hair is easy, but (like me) if you hate the way it looks.....chop it off! It's worth the extra time styling/drying/spraying/swearing (if you're me) whatever if it makes you feel good about yourself & smile when you pass a mirror! I agree with Janet to pass on the basic bob. Jazz it up. Shorter hair gives the option for some height on top which I always need. Just my 2 cents! Kristen

A couple things...I'm with you guys on the trip to the salon. However...the stacked look does NOT work with my hair! It's too thin. I love your hair Laura! It's so thick and it ALWAYS looks good:)

Well...if this is a girls' night out, can I come too? My mother hinted that my boxed hair color is totally not working for me, so I need some highlights.

So seriously...who wants to plan our day or night at the salon? I'm game:)

Awesome!!! This is going to be SO MUCH fun!!! Since Laura and Heather will be occupied, I'll be sure to get tons of pictures! Who knows a good place to go? Maybe Sherri can go an hour or two earlier for highlights. Cause we HAVE to go out on the town to show off the new "do's". This is totally awesome!!! I'm in!!

you girls are hilarious! i was always in a pony tail with my long hair so i made a short hair commitment in the fall and i haven't regreted it. i feel much more put together when i do it. it does take a bit of extra time but i figure it's better than throwing up in a clip. ;) i think you look great long and short so whatever you pick, you really can't go wrong!!! sounds like a fun girls night you have planned...hey, when are we going to go get that Lava cake i'm dying to try???? :)

Wow, what an interesting discussion you have going on here:) I think you should do whatever will make you happy....sounded like you had more reasons to keep it long than chop it off. Do what makes you happy, I say:)
We prayed for you this morning....I hope you are feeling better!
