Cowkids!

My friend, Beth, asked me to take pictures of Harrison, Jackson, and Addison in their AWESOME Halloween costumes she made! They were so cute and sweet...Harrison is on his way to be a model and kept doing the cutest poses on his own:). Addison was not so keen on the whole picture taking but LOVED her little fingers! Thanks so much for letting spend time with you and your great kids, Beth!

Kinsey's 'happy to you'

Kinsey had a great birthday filled with LOTS of singing:). We took many breaks during school to sing to her and she loved it! When others would ask her what day it was she'd say, "happy to you."

Happy Birthday Baby

my mom made this dedication dress for
Cailey (and Kinsey) out of my First Communion
dress that she made when I was in 2nd grade.

Happy birthday to my sweet, sweet baby Kinsey who is now three years old. I was sitting here thinking about her birth story and wondering what time she was born and the details of her birth. I know her birth weight and length, but that's all concerning that special day. I'm sure her birth mom is thinking of her today...so please pray for her.

To Kinsey:
I didn't know about you the day you were born. I first found out about you in January when you were not quite three months old and was so excited to meet you! I didn't hear your first cry, see your first smile, or hear your first laugh. I am so blessed to have seen you crawl and walk for the first time and hear your first words. You are such a gift to me and I'm so thankful that on October 29, 2005 you were born. I thank God for that phone call and His perfect will for you to be in our family. I love you baby, Happy 3rd Birthday!

such a BEAUTIFUL smile!

This year was a big one for Kinsey. She stopped wearing diapers a year ago, she started talking more (mostly this summer) and adds to her vocabulary daily. She can say a ton of phrases including my favorite: "sop poppying me" (stop copying me). Kinsey is great at sports and we're guessing she will be a great athlete. This summer she proved once again to be the daredevil of the family by jumping in the water and just hoping someone would pull her up! She loves to be read to (which just developed this year), loves to play games, wants to do anything Braden and Cailey do, still loves her 'banky' (which she also calls bay bay) and can't sleep without it. Kinsey loves to dress up and be a 'girly girl' with beautiful dresses, jewelry, purses, shoes (even if they are on the wrong feet), etc. She's really cute when she sings and dances with the kids...most of the time she doesn't know the words, but she'll shout out something along with the others! She's a great cuddler (which is awesome to me since she's the baby) and loves, loves, loves babies...baby dolls and real babies. Kinsey is VERY helpful and loves to help me cook dinner, set the table, empty some of the dishwasher, and is always by my side to help put the laundry in the dryer. Kinsey tends to fall down A LOT and just gets back up and most of the time she isn't phased...even when she's bleeding. She spills A LOT of milk and water:), and then gets towels to clean it up! She's got a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She's very empathetic. She loves to read her bible and listen to bible stories. She prays. I love you so much, pookie!

Today she requested pancakes for breakfast, bok bok moo (Chick fil A) for lunch,'pizzey and teetees' (pizza and cookies) for dinner, so that's what she'll get. She just started saying she was two half (2 1/2) a few weeks ago but has caught on QUICKLY that she is now three:).

the last game

she LOVED being
goalie!

team pictures

Saturday was Cailey's last game of the season. She was VERY sad when she found out soccer was over and said, "I want to play all the way until I'm a teenager!" After the game the coach handed out trophy's and I quickly realized Cailey had no idea what a trophy was or why she was getting one....which was a great teaching moment for all three! Cailey had a fun time playing soccer and can't wait until the spring season.

Investiture

Ahhh... I was brought back to the good ole' Girl Scouting Days when Cailey had her Investiture Ceremony this week.

Most of the things are the same as when I was
a scout, but some things have changed. I was
able to teach the
girls the 'brownie smile song' and they
sang it for all the parents and
other girls.
Cailey was given her girl scout pin and some patches that she earned. She was very excited to have her vest and get her new pins to put on it!
Cailey went from being a Daisy to a Brownie in a few short weeks:). Actually she was the same age as the Brownies so they finally agreed to let her move up (which made her very happy:).
Thanks for taking pictures for me, Janet!

Inside Out Girl

Kinsey has NEVER been a fan of 'footie' pajama's because they make her itch. We'd put her in them at night and in the morning she'd be naked! Last winter we finally gave up and just let her do it but she would wake up cold. Well...apparently she found a solution this year! We'll put them on her the right way and in the morning they'll be INSIDE OUT! I couldn't believe it the first time and thought it was a fluke until she did it again. She figured it out by herself...she's got great problem solving skills. This girl is so funny! She prefers shoes on the wrong feet and pajama's inside out:). **Brian's main question was how in the world she could zip them up inside out.

Bb is for bears

Bb is for....

blue, buttons,

beads,

bubbles,

balloons, balls,

I blew up around 40 balloons and the kids went on a ball
hunt and collected around 35 of them! We played volley ball,
keep it up, kick ball, and more fun games with them:).

bell

This week we worked on Bb for bear. We read lots of bear books (Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, Going On A Bear Hunt, Ten Bears In Bed, Bear Wants More, etc.) and found tons of things that begin with Bb around the house. Kinsey's favorites were the babies, her blankie aka banky, Braden, and her bunny. I have discovered that she's confused now and need to figure out how to get past it. Now when she sees an Aa she says, Bb! She could find Aa's last week and pick them out of other letters mixed together, so I thought she REALLY knew it. I'm hoping (and praying) that as time goes on she'll be able to grasp the concept of letters:).
