Back Again..too soon

Braden's first full day off the eye drops was yesterday and he was trilled! He still had to take the oral antibiotic 2x a day but it was a lower dose than before. Around 3 his eye looked very red, splotchy, was giving him pain, and his vision was blurry. Knowing not to wait this time we called Duke this morning and he had an appointment at 9.

Three doctors examined it and said "there was new infiltration of the infection" So he's going back on his course of three kinds of drops (that are specially made from high dose antibiotic pills) every hour and 4 pills of the original dose daily...again. We're not sure what's going to happen because he can't be on antibiotics much longer or the infection will become immune to it. Also, it's a VERY high dose of antibiotic to be on. After 2 1/2 hours and 94$ for 5 days worth of drops (not to mention the apt fee and pills) Braden was done.

So we are PRAYING that God will use the drops to clear the infection once and for all. I can't stand to see Braden in pain and have trouble seeing. He's upset that we have to start over again but he wants to be able to see and is handling it better than any 8 year old I know would. He doesn't say anything about it but he did say that he was happy to be done with them yesterday so naturally getting back on them isn't going to make him pleased. Back to 36 BURNING eye drops a day.
