Join Us for Our Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic! Join us in prayer!

Family and Friends,

Greetings!

I am writing to share with you an amazing opportunity Heather and I have to take a short-term mission trip with our daughter, Cailey, through our church The Summit. On April 3rd through the 7th we will embark on a trip to the Dominican Republic with Cailey’s youth group to assist with ministries in that country. For us and especially for Cailey, this is a huge step to move out of our comfort zone both in terms of ministry and by going to a completely different country!

While in the Dominican Republic we will be working with our church, The Summit, as we minister to the people there. We will be working with a local church there helping with chapel services, working with a school and there is even a baseball ministry.
We are asking if you would consider being a partner with us as we take on this mission to serve God. If possible, even a small contribution to assist will be a great help. Since there are three of us going, we need to raise $3600 as a family. The deadline when most of our cost is due is February 3rd.

If you feel led to join in financially supporting us, please make the checks payable to The Summit Church. Please be sure to enclose this form with your check. Our name should not be written on the memo line of the check, however make sure to include it with the form. You can mail your tax-deductible gifts to The Summit Church, Route 56 Dominican Republic Team, 2335-114 Presidential Dr, Durham, NC 27703.

You can also give ONLINE at http://www.summitrdu.com/connect/give/ and indicate “Dominican Republic trip at the request of Brian, Heather and Cailey Barbour” in the "Other" field.

Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. We believe that even though we will be in the Dominican Republic for a few days, God can use us to touch the lives of others. Pray for our preparation for the trip and for our team as we meet together and embark on this journey together. Also pray that our financial needs will be met but most importantly that God will fill us with a servant’s heart that we can be an effective witness of Jesus Christ during this time.

With gratitude,

Brian, Heather and Cailey Barbour
